The Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake (EFCCL) worked with Risepointe on a Facility Refresh. This project will likely be taken on over several phases of design and construction. Its goal is to represent an amazing, welcoming first-impression and would create a relevant, intentional, and unique design narrative for first time guests.

The first design phase is to refresh the first point of contact once inside the building - the lobby. The unique challenge at EFCCL is the shape and layout of the lobby. The lobby is long and wraps around the sanctuary creating challenging site lines and very unusable fellowship opportunities.

Our design was to remove coat storage locations as well as column enclosures to expand the visual field and reduce the clutter on the wall of the lobby. A general refresh of materials and finishes that match the church's DNA was also proposed
